A major cybersecurity incident has impacted Gulshan Management Services, Inc., a gas station operator headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, resulting in the exposure of personal information belonging to more than 377,000 customers. The breach has raised serious concerns about the protection of customer data within retail and fuel service operations across multiple US states.
Breach Overview and Timeline
According to official disclosures, the security incident was identified on September 27, 2025. Investigations later confirmed that unauthorized access to company systems had occurred over a ten day period, starting from September 17 and continuing until discovery on September 27, 2025.
The breach affected a total of 377,082 individuals nationwide, including at least 54 residents from the state of Maine. The incident involved the compromise of an external system connected to Gulshan Management Services’ operations.
Nature of Exposed Information
Gulshan Management Services operates gas stations and related facilities, where customer transaction data is routinely processed. This made the organization a potential target for cybercriminal activity.
Based on the breach notification submitted to the Maine Attorney General’s Office, threat actors gained unauthorized access to systems containing personal identifiers. While the company did not publicly specify every data element involved, the notification confirms that customer names and other personal identifying information were accessed, along with additional sensitive data.
Response and Disclosure Actions
Following the discovery of the breach, Gulshan Management Services initiated its internal incident response procedures. The company retained legal counsel from Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP to oversee regulatory compliance and manage the breach disclosure process in accordance with state laws.
Written notifications were sent to affected customers on January 5, 2026, nearly three months after the incident was first identified. This delay aligns with standard investigative and legal review timelines commonly observed in large scale breach cases.
Identity Protection Support for Affected Customers
To mitigate potential harm, Gulshan Management Services is offering impacted individuals twelve months of complimentary identity protection services through Kroll Identity Monitoring Services.
The protection package includes credit monitoring, fraud consultation, and identity theft restoration services. These measures are intended to help customers detect suspicious activity early and obtain professional assistance if identity theft occurs.
